Firefox

Posted on September 20th, 2004, in the evening

I'm not by any means rabidly anti-Microsoft, much as I enjoy the better mockery. I've therefore held out against all the calls from the web design community to ditch Internet Explorer for a long time. Only a couple of weeks ago I finally downloaded the much heralded Firefox.

I'll gladly admit to having been soundly converted. If for nothing else then for being able to open new pages in tabs rather than new windows, but that would be to say nothing of the vastly better security and standards compliance over IE.

For web designers, the Web Developer Extension makes you wonder how you lived without it, but this really isn't just a techie thing - Firefox is simply a better browser.
