Ebow

My Ebow (a guitar gadget) came today! What an outrageously brilliant little lump of plastic. Beautiful 'With or Without You' infinite sustain on demand (although apparently Edge didn't actually use one on that song). My day has been punctuated at rather too regular intervals by putting on CDs with Ebow and playing along. I can hardly wait till I'm next on electric guitar at a church meeting.

The only negatives I can see are to do with the construction. The G7th capo has set the guitar-gadget-design-quality bar so high that I must confess to a twinge of disappointment with the Ebow's plastic shell. And it's glued together so there's no fixing it if it gets dropped or anything. I guess I'll just have to be careful not to drop it!

Most places sell them for £80-£90, which is fairly harsh (though still worth it), but I got mine for £65 (plus P&P) online from Nevada Music in Portsmouth. They even included a 9v battery in the Ebow and another spare.
