Two Sundays ago I knew exactly what to sing. This Sunday I really didn't. It was one of those times when it didn't feel like the set was coming together even as we rehearsed before the meeting.
But the meeting was great. There was a clear sense of narrative to the whole. People shared interesting words between songs, and it all led perfectly to communion (between 'Faithful One' and 'Thank you for saving me') and then to Annie's preach on Amos 9. By the time we came back to 'There's a place' to finish it all seemed to make perfect sense. Another helpful reminder that it doesn't depend on me.
