I've just spotted that DoveSong.com have their mp3 library back up.
It's a fascinating site. They have all kinds of information and resources on 'positive music', which the site contrasts strongly with 'negative music' - epitomised by heavy metal and with it's roots in Schoenberg - that is grating and highly disturbing to the nervous system
(I kid you not!).
Whatever you make of their opinions on the state of popular music, DoveSong have an impressive library of mp3s including Western Classical, World Music, and - the reason I discovered the site - all kinds of Gospel. The mp3s are all ancient, out-of-copyright recordings from 78s, 45s and LPs.
It's all about the Black Gospel section for me.
