Wow. Well, there must have been over 300 people there this morning, up from 150 last week.
The worship time was pretty electric. Mark was preaching on some of the... erm, harder texts in Romans 1-3, so we went for salvation songs.
There was slight guitar trouble in that my B string managed to get way out of tune during the first few songs and by 'Before the throne' was horrible. I spent the last three songs in the first set using a spare finger to deaden that string in every chord. Not an easy task, and somewhat distracting from the business at hand, but it went well nonetheless.
I had the strange experience of knowing for certain as I was planning the set that I wasn't going to know which song would follow the preach until just before. I even put "???" on the printed setlist. And that's exactly how it went. I think that might have been the first time I've led with 'Amazing Grace', but it was just perfect as the response to what Mark had said.
