It's good to be leading worship again: an excellent way to spend the morning of my birthday!
The growing tension of Palm Sunday has been alive to me this week: Old Testament prophecies fulfilled with accelerating pace; God's great plan for salvation crescendoes towards the events of the Easter weekend...
...that's what I was thinking of as I put the setlist together.
It was a good morning. We're at the nadir of our out-of-term numbers, which allows a much more open kind of Sunday meeting. The band were particularly good, almost all of them playing at Kings for the first time this morning. There are some excellent people about, which excites me enormously about the possibilities for developing our corporate worship over the coming months...
