Worship Setlist - Sep 21, 2008

Sunday morning at Kings

A lively morning! September is a good measure of where things are at running into the new academic year, and things are pretty good if this morning is anything to go by.

We started with 'Speak, O Lord' which is definitely a long-term addition to the repertoire. Perfect for leading up to a sermon but also useful both for responding to a sermon and opening a meeting. Here are Stuart Townend and Keith Getty teaching it on New Song Cafe.

I taught a new song of my own - We have known forgiveness. It's written from Colossians 1 and I'd been working on it towards our Colossians sermon series this Autumn but it seemed such a good fit with Ruth's notes for this morning's sermon on being 'Missional' that I had to finish it early.

In fact it probably wants a bit more work, but I've put up chords and an mp3 for the current version anyway. We'll see whether any changes come...

I'm also pretty pleased with the 'Crown him' into 'Jesus, lover of my soul' link - going from "Thy praise shall never, never fail throughout eternity" into "For no one else in history is like you". Happy!
