Sunday morning at Kings
- Let everything that has breath - Matt Redman
- To God be the glory - Fanny Crosby
- Praise is rising - Brenton Brown, Paul Baloche
- Jesus, friend of sinners - Paul Oakley
- We have known forgiveness - Chris Juby
- King of Kings - Jarrod Cooper
- Far and near - Graham Kendrick
We were absolutely packed this morning for the first Sunday of term, it must have been some way over 300 people. A lot of life and energy about the meeting to match.
These first Sundays of the year I aim to have a reasonably representative mix of the different sources of songs we use for worship. It's a good opportunity to take stock of the breadth of what we're using. I think we gave a fairly good account of ourselves this morning.
Mark was preaching on Colossians 1:9-14, which is the passage that I wrote 'We have known forgiveness' from, so it wasn't hard to come up with a response. It flowed well from 'Jesus, friend of sinners' and in to 'King of Kings'.
A very upbeat start to the year so far! It's going to be a good one...
