Teaching service at our Connecting evening meeting

• Jesus, friend of sinners - Paul Oakley
• Love came down - Ben Cantelon

• Before the throne of God above - Charitie Bancroft, Vikki Cook
• Open the eyes of my heart - Paul Baloche

I'm very pleased with the 'Jesus, friend of sinners' into 'Love came down' run. I've not used 'Love came down' before, mainly on account of my prejudice against songs with a wide jump in range between the verse and the chorus, but the last couple of weeks it has really been the right song for the themes we've been looking at so it gets a free pass.

We're using a 'house band' for the Connecting service this term and rehearsing on Fridays instead of before the meeting on Sunday. It's really making a difference to how flexible we are and how together we are spiritually and musically.
