Hmm, I think that was as close as it gets to not going well these days.

It's not that there was any kind of disaster, but it just didn't seem to click - not the band, nor the congregation, nor within myself. I'm not sure why - maybe exams, maybe hot weather, maybe smaller number, maybe a slightly fraught practise, a more unfamiliar main block, maybe all of the above.

One or two people were enthusiastic to me afterwards but I think quite objectively it was below par. I shall have to ponder...
