Crux service at Kings this evening

• Holy, Holy, Holy - Reginald Heber, John Bacchus Dykes
• Our God saves - Brenton Brown, Paul Baloche
• Great is thy faithfulness - Thomas Chisholm, William Runyan

• Great is your faithfulness - Chris Tomlin

The first Crux meeting of the year. 40 people was a fairly dramatic contrast to the morning (revised estimate of still somewhere over 350 people at the morning) but we got the series off to a good start.

'Our God saves' flows really well out of 'Holy, Holy, Holy'. It's really useful having a new up-tempo opener in D.

I was mindful as we rehearsed 'Holy, Holy, Holy' before the meeting that John Bacchus Dykes who wrote the tune is buried just a few metres away from our new Sunday Evening venue, St Oswald's Institute hall.
