The singing nearly took the roof off this evening. The sheer volume kept slowing us down as the acoustics of the room pulled against our playing. Really passionate engagement with God.
We've started having much more open times of worship after the formal close of the meeting. The atmosphere is really rich. Pepole sing out, we don't use whole songs, people sing their own lyrics. It's good stuff!
A keynote for me at the moment is the bridge from Matt Redman's 'You alone can rescue' - "We lift up our eyes/Lift up our eyes/You're the giver of life". I thought that section was a little weak when I first heard it, but it's almost my favorite part now. I love the... presence of it.
